TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF TRPC
With the help of friends and the co-operation of the TRPC Board of Directors, I have attempted to fulfill all of my responsibilities over the last two months. These responsibilities included the Presidency of TRPC, Presidency of the Waterbury Towers Association, and the operation of two businesses. In the last two weeks, business and personal issues have come to the point that they require 150% of my attention. I have spoken to the TRPC Board of Directors and Attorney Don Weisman several times over this two week period. We explored all options. In fact the Board of Directors was more than willing to step up and assist with my duties as your President over the next few months to help me through this rough period. Unfortunately, it is my opinion that you the members of TRPC would not be best served. You need and deserve a President that is able to give the time that will be required to help our industry. Our industry has several major problems that need addressing now. The TRPC has been through a lot of changes in the last two years. The loss of our dear friend and colleague George Mordowanec being the biggest loss of all. Too, this day I am not sure that we have adjusted to this loss. Certainly another period of adjustment will not be healty for our association. The decision has been agonizing. However, in the best interest of our association, especially in regards to the battles we must engage in now, I must resign as your President. This resignation is effective immediately. I thank you for the opportunity to serve the towing industry in Connecticut. You are in good hands. We have a strong and dedicated Board of Directors and an energetic and knowledgeable successor in Fulvio Tamburro. I will continue as a Board member and be available to assist with all transitional needs of the TRPC. Thank You! Jim Messer |
